Outdoor Fun
You’ll be just minutes from Mont Ripley, our very own ski and snowboarding hill; Portage Lake Golf Course, our own 18-hole course; and a virtually endless range of forests, rivers, trails, and state parks. And our Outdoor Adventure Program will ensure that you have the gear to do it up right.
Clubs and Organizations
More than 180 of them, covering interests ranging from academics, to cultural awareness, to politics, to religion, to community service, to athletics, to media, and pretty much everything in between. Check out a list of current student clubs and organizations.
Events and Activities
There isn’t a buzz that can match our campus when something big is about to happen. And it happens a lot. Along with a huge array of weekly activities like concerts, movie screenings, broomball tournaments, and the like, you’ll experience big annual events like Winter Carnival, Family Weekend, K-Day, Parade of Nations, Homecoming, and Spring Fling.
Athletics
It’s great watching really smart kids kick major butt on the field, court, course, track, or whatever the playing surface may be. Michigan Tech’s Huskies have a long and proud tradition of success. And if you like to play as well, we have an amazing selection of intramural programs and club sport teams that are just waiting for you.
